16 Permitless Concealed Carry States ?

gavel with law books in backgroundConstitutional carry states, also know as permitless carry states have been increasing since the late 1990’s. There are now thirteen states where a permit to conceal carry is not required, and three more states that have limited permitless carry.

In 2016 four states abolished their requirement for a concealed carry permit. These were Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, and West Virginia. There are roughly six more states debating if they join the list of permitless concealed carry states. The Alabama Senate has passed a bill to dispense with permits for concealed carry but there are a few more hurdles it needs to go through to become law. Already this year New Hampshire and North Dakota have become unrestricted states in 2017.
